Welcome to the Fall Semester, NSHE Family!

As Chancellor of the Nevada System of Higher Education, it is my great pleasure to welcome you all—students, faculty, staff, and our entire community—back for the start of an exciting academic year. Whether you are returning to our campuses or stepping into our classrooms for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our diverse and dynamic NSHE family.

Our system is unique, spanning the Silver State from the lush beauty of Lake Tahoe to the vibrant heart of Las Vegas. Each of our institutions—each with its own character and strengths—plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Nevada. From the pioneering research and rich traditions at the University of Nevada, Reno, to the cutting-edge innovation and spirit of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, we are united in our mission to provide world-class education to every Nevadan.

To our community colleges—College of Southern Nevada, Truckee Meadows Community College, Western Nevada College, and Great Basin College. You are the lifeblood of our communities, offering accessible education and vital workforce training that empower our students and strengthen our state’s economy.
