AB 450 / Community College Workforce Training and Programs Committee

Overview

The AB 450 / Community College Workforce Training and Programs Committee was formed during the 81st Nevada Legislative session through the signing of Assembly Bill 450  to bring together key stakeholders from higher education and business and industry to learn how to better prepare Nevadans for the jobs of the future.

The legislation was first proposed during Governor Steve Sisolak’s 2021 State of the State address with the intent of aligning workforce training and programs offered by community colleges in Nevada.

The committee is charged with conducting an interim study concerning opportunities to align workforce training and programs offered by community colleges in the state with business and industry needs.
