NSHE Welcomes Jennifer McGrath as New Regent for District 2
The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) welcomes Jennifer McGrath to the Board of Regents, representing District 2.
Governor Joe Lombardo appointed McGrath to fill the vacancy left by Dr. Lois Tarkanian, who passed away in November 2024 after a lifetime of dedicated public service.
McGrath has been a successful litigator with over two decades of experience. She brings a unique perspective to the Board’s work in higher education governance.
“The Board welcomes Jennifer McGrath as we continue our work on behalf of Nevada’s students and the entire NSHE community,” said Board of Regents Chair Amy J. Carvalho.
Chancellor Patricia Charlton added: “We look forward to working with Jennifer McGrath as she begins her service on the Board. Her experience will contribute to the important discussions shaping the future of higher education in Nevada.”
