Dr. Robert Larson Schofield named Distinguished Nevadan
The Board of Regents today approved the nomination of Dr. Robert Larson Schofield, Jr. as a 2014 Distinguished Nevadan.
The Distinguished Nevadan is bestowed upon prominent individuals who have contributed to the cultural, scientific, or social advancement of Nevada.
Schofield, who is currently a psychologist for the Nevada Department of Corrections, is one of nine honorees to be recognized as a Distinguished Nevadan in 2014. His award will be presented at the December 2014 University of Nevada, Las Vegas winter commencement.
Previous 2014 honorees, who received their awards at spring commencement ceremonies last month, include: Gregory W. Ferraro, Keith L. Lee, Monte L. and Susan J. Miller, Dr. Raymond D. Rawson, Michael and Sonja Saltman, James D. Santini, Carolyn M. Sparks, and Bret Whipple.
