Creating for Nevada’s Future: Economic Diversification Conference to be Held
For decades, Nevadans have attempted to diversify the state’s economy beyond tourism, construction and mining. While those industries have made Nevada the fastest growing state in the nation, that lack of diversity has also left the economy perilously exposed. As a result, Nevada now has the dubious honor of leading the nation in unemployed workers and home foreclosures.
On January 7, business, political and educational leaders will meet to explore options to revive and diversify Nevada’s economy.
The conference, Nevada 2.0: New Economies for a Sustainable Future, will be held in the Student Union Ballroom at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
