Regents Mourn Loss of President Fred Maryanski
On behalf of the Nevada System of Higher Education, I extend my deepest condolences to the Maryanski family and all of the Nevada State College students, alumni, faculty and staff on the passing of our dear friend, President Fred Maryanski. Since taking the helm of NSC in 2005, Fred Maryanski has led the young college through the final stages of its accreditation process, spearheaded and finalized NSC’s 509-acre campus master plan and opened the college’s first permanent building on campus. My colleagues on the Board of Regents were always impressed with his quiet strength and his incredible passion for education. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Karen; his sons David and Peter; his daughter Krista; his three grandchildren; and all of the students whose lives were changed because Fred Maryanski dedicated his life to making theirs better.
