Board of Regents Takes Next Steps in Searches for NSHE Chancellor and CSN President

The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents is making progress in its efforts to find a permanent Chancellor and a new President for the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). Committees overseeing each search have selected executive search firms as partners throughout the process.

The ad hoc Chancellor Search Committee chose Greenwood Asher & Associates, a firm with a strong record of helping colleges and universities hire top leaders. The firm will work closely with the committee to ensure an inclusive and transparent process in selecting the next Chancellor who will lead NSHE in its ongoing mission to advance student success, workforce development, and system-wide excellence.

The ad hoc CSN President Search Committee has selected Academic Search, a firm that specializes in finding leaders for higher education institutions. Academic Search will assist the committee in identifying a leader for CSN, Nevada’s largest and most diverse institution of higher education. The next President will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the college and its impact on the Southern Nevada community.

“We are committed to finding exceptional leaders who understand the unique opportunities within the Nevada System of Higher Education,” said Amy J. Carvalho, Chair of the NSHE Board of Regents. “By selecting experienced and reputable search firms, we are ensuring a thoughtful and comprehensive process that will allow us to find leaders who will advance our system’s goals of student success, innovation, and inclusivity.”

Both committees are committed to engaging key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and community members, to ensure the searches reflect the needs and priorities of NSHE and the state of Nevada.
