Three candidates named for UNLV presidency
Three finalists for the presidency of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas were named during the Board of Regents ad hoc UNLV President Search Committee meeting today.
The candidates are:
Dr. Ricardo Azziz, MD | Dr. Azziz’s Bio
President, Georgia Regents University
Chief Executive Officer, Georgia Regents Health System
Dr. Len M. Jessup | Dr. Jessup’s Bio
Dean of Eller College of Management, University of Arizona
Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Halle Chair in Leadership
John Valery White, J.D. | Dr. White’s Bio
Executive Vice President and Provost, University of Nevada, Las Vegas
The three finalists will visit the UNLV community during the week of Nov. 10-14. Members of the community are invited to attend the public forums that will be held for each candidate.
The committee will reconvene on Nov. 17-18 to interview the finalists and to make a recommendation for consideration by the full Board of Regents at a date and time to be determined by the Board of Regents Chair Kevin J. Page.
The candidates were selected based on the process and criteria set forth by the committee with input from UNLV and community advisory members.
The committee is chaired by Regent Mark Doubrava and includes regents Cedric Crear, Dr. Jason Geddes, Kevin J. Page, Rick Trachok and Michael B. Wixom.
