Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Chancellor Melody Rose issued an update on S/U grading for all NSHE institutions on Wednesday.

NSHE’s institutional presidents have unanimously agreed to continue the  Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading option for the 2020-2021 academic year under the authority granted them by the Board of Regents last spring, Rose said.

“Our hope in announcing this decision is to alleviate the strain many students are experiencing during this unprecedented circumstance,” the Chancellor said.

The decision was made after an outpouring of concern by NSHE students asking to continue with S/U grading as an option during the COVID-19 pandemic.
