Nevada System of Higher Education Handbook
The Board of Regents Handbook provides the governing documents and policies for the Nevada System of Higher Education. This link provides you direct access to the searchable version of the NSHE Handbook, which includes 4 Titles: 1) Bylaws of the Board of Regents, 2) NSHE Code, 3) Legal Status, and 4) Codification of Board Policy Statements.
NSHE Policy Against Discrimination and Sexual Harassment
The NSHE Policy Against Discrimination and Sexual Harassment, including the Complaint Procedure is found in the NSHE Handbook Title 4, Chapter 8, Section 13.
Procedures and Guidelines Manual
The Procedures and Guidelines Manual contains System and institutional procedures, tuition and fees, and other procedural information.
Nevada Revised Statutes
Disclosure of Improper Governmental Action
The State of Nevada, under the Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 281.661, requires the Administrator of the Division of Human Resource Management to provide each State officer and employee, on an annual basis, a summary of the statutes pertaining to disclosure of improper governmental action (NRS 281.611 through 281.671).
These statutes prohibit any State officer or employee from using his or her official authority or influence to prevent disclosure of improper governmental action by another State officer or employee.
Nevada Ethical Standards
The Ethics in Government Law applies to more than 100,000 public officers and public employees in the State of Nevada that are appointed or elected to a position in, or are employed by, the State, a county, a city, improvement district, school board or other political subdivision. Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 281A.500(2) requires that each new public employee receive information regarding Nevada Ethical Standards.
