Aaron Bautista

Regent Aaron Bautista was elected in November 2024 to serve District 4 on the Board of Regents.

Regent Bautista holds an associate degree from the College of Southern Nevada, a bachelor’s degree from Nevada State University, and a master’s degree in special education from Grand Canyon University.  He is a special education teacher with over nine years of experience and serves as an advocate for the students and the families he works with.  As a Regent, his top priorities include improving accessibility and affordability for higher education; creating a better learning environment by improving safety, inclusivity, and mental health with a student-centered approach; helping build a more efficient college-to-teacher pipeline in Nevada; and providing support to current educators who are continuing their education.

Regent Bautista was born and raised in East Las Vegas and, as a proud member of his community, serves on the Neighborhood Partners Fund Board and the Our Future East Las Vegas Advisory Board.
