The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents elected Regent Stephanie Goodman as Chair and Regent Carol Del Carlo as Vice Chair. Their one-year terms will begin July 1, 2026, and end on June 30, 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I am grateful to my colleagues for entrusting me as their Chair,\u201d said Regent Stephanie Goodman<\/strong>.\u00a0\u201cMy intention is to empower the Chancellor and our Presidents to do the important work of providing the many options of higher education to all Nevadans.\u00a0 NSHE can be better and through collaboration, Vice Chair Del Carlo and I will work with the Board to improve our work, processes and reputation.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Regent Del Carlo brings nearly a decade of experience on the Board of Regents and a strong focus on student opportunity to the Vice Chair role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cStudents have always been my North Star in this work,\u201d said Regent Carol Del Carlo<\/strong>. \u201cI am proud to serve as Vice Chair and to support Chair Goodman, Chancellor McNair, and my fellow Regents as we work to expand opportunity and help more Nevadans benefit from higher education.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Board\u2019s officers work closely with the Chancellor as NSHE advances system priorities under the Board\u2019s direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI am excited to work with Chair Goodman and Vice Chair Del Carlo as they step into these leadership roles,\u201d said NSHE Chancellor Matt McNair<\/strong>. \u201cTheir experience and commitment will be important as we build on the work already underway and keep moving NSHE forward for Nevada\u2019s students, institutions, and communities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
