Four finalists for the presidency of the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) were announced today by Nevada System of Higher Education Chancellor Dr. Thom Reilly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“These four finalists represent the best applicants from across the entire country,” said Chancellor Reilly. “We are excited to have such a highly-qualified and diverse pool of final candidates as we narrow our search for a leader to take CSN to the next level.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The candidates were selected based on the process and criteria set forth by the CSN President Search Committee, with input from the advisory members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The candidates are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Keith C. Curry, President\/ Chief Executive Officer<\/strong> Dr. Feleccia R. Moore-Davis, Provost<\/strong> Dr. Utpal K. Goswami, President<\/strong> Dr. Federico Zaragoza, Vice Chancellor<\/strong> The four candidates will visit the CSN community on May 8 and 9. Each candidate will have a full day on campus. Members of the community were invited to attend the public forums that will be held for each candidate. The public forums have now concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The CSN President Search Committee and the Advisory members will conduct face-to-face interviews with each of the candidates on Thursday, May 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the conclusion of the interviews on May 10, the Search Committee and Advisory Members will meet to determine whether to recommend a finalist to the full Board of Regents, who will review and vote on any recommendation at a special meeting on May 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The committee is chaired by Regent Allison Stephens and includes Regents Dr. Andrea Anderson, Dr. Patrick R. Carter, Dr. Mark W. Doubrava, Mr. Trevor Hayes and Mrs. Cathy McAdoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Founded in 1971, the College of Southern Nevada is the state’s largest and most ethnically diverse higher education institution. CSN is accredited through the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and specializes in two-year degrees and workforce development that lead directly to high demand careers or transfer to a university. It also offers five bachelor’s degrees in specialized fields and is the state’s largest provider of adult basic education and literacy training.
