The presidents of NSHE\u2019s institutions adopted graduation and persistence rates and set goals (see below) for 2025 at the first ever Student Success Summit on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday, best practices among our higher education colleges and universities were shared along with national evidence-based practices that have improved student success rates,\u201d said Chancellor Thom Reilly. \u201cStudent Success must be at the forefront of thinking at all levels of Nevada\u2019s higher education system, from our presidents to the professors in the classroom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regents Chair Kevin Page said the institutions have adopted strategies to help students in danger of dropping out and getting them the assistance needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Presidents and Board identified the resources necessary to scale up or implement successful programs to meet their goals,\u201d Page said. \u201cThe transparency of the Summit and the strategies and goals adopted will also allow for better accountability for our NSHE institution leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
