six strategies were developed and discussed<\/a> at the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Student Success Summit in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cNSHE is singularly focused on student success and improving transparency and accountability for our institutions in these areas. These strategies will help guide our institutions toward increasing graduation rates,\u201d Reilly said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Board of Regents\u2019 Chair Kevin J. Page said the strategies are based on national evidence and best practices that have improved student success rates from higher education institutions across the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not enough to get students to go to college, we have to refocus our efforts, from presidents to professors, on getting students to graduate,\u201d Page said. \u201cBy graduating, a student creates a pathway to the middle class and a better future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In January, the presidents of NSHE\u2019s institutions adopted graduation and persistence rates and set goals (see below) for 2025 at the Student Success Summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
