{"id":1249,"date":"2021-01-05T12:55:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-05T12:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nshe.nevada.edu\/system-administration\/?post_type=nshe_news&#038;p=1249"},"modified":"2023-02-21T17:18:39","modified_gmt":"2023-02-21T17:18:39","slug":"nshe-cfo-named-interim-director-of-government-affairs","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/nshe.nevada.edu\/system-administration\/news\/2021\/01\/nshe-cfo-named-interim-director-of-government-affairs\/","title":{"rendered":"NSHE CFO Named Interim Director of Government Affairs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Nevada System of Higher Education\u2019s (NSHE) Chief Financial Officer Andrew Clinger was named Interim Director of Government Affairs by Chancellor Melody Rose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clinger, who has served as CFO of NSHE since December 2018, will lead advocacy efforts for NSHE and Nevada\u2019s eight public higher education institutions during the upcoming 81<sup>st<\/sup> Legislative Session beginning in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAndrew has vast experience working on state budgets for three different Nevada governors, including as a state budget director during the Great Recession.
