Honoring the Legacy of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Two

Dear friends and colleagues,

Today we honor the legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., one of the great Americans in our nation’s history.

This year marks 54 years since his death and the struggle for equity is continuing. It is difficult work. It requires constant attention. As leaders in higher education, we must continue to lead the effort that will free us of the deep-rooted racism that exists and harms our communities.

At NSHE, we remain resolute in our commitment to creating equitable, welcoming spaces for all, with the belief that it is our diversity that makes us stronger, wiser, kinder, and more just.

Sincerely,

Melody Rose, Ph.D.
