Yvette Machado is a first-generation, Indigenous-Latinx student, who uses She/Her/Ella pronouns. As a proud daughter of immigrants from Ecuador and Guatemala, Yvette is proud to be the first in her family to enter college. Perseverance and academic merit have helped Yvette overcome the struggles of underrepresented students and inspired her advocacy for Nevada’s marginalized student community. Her dedication to public service is fueled by an unwavering commitment to end the undue suffering of marginalized groups in all institutions. Yvette believes in serving CSN students as a sure-fire way to empower Nevada’s future leaders. CSN is known as a proud MSI/ HSI institution and Yvette is honored to serve a pivotal part of her community as the Student Body President.
