President, Nevada State Student Alliance (NSSA)
Nevada State College
Alicia L. Contreras-Martinez is the first DACA student body President of NSC’S NSSA (Nevada State Student Alliance). Alicia is majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Communications, and has dreams of pursuing a law degree and focusing on civil and business law. She has been involved with the campus through Nepantla, a summer bridge program, and started her relationship with NSSA when she ran as sophomore senator in 2016; she served one term and then ran as the Vice President in April of 2017. When the at-the-time President of NSSA resigned, Alicia stepped up to the role of Student Body President. She is a strong advocate for DACA and undocumented students and is excited to serve her college the best way she can.
